Evacuations of townships continue and a number of roads and highways have been cut off due to the weather impacting deliveries and pick-ups in these areas. Electrical power was partially restored on April 13th and approximately 80% of inbound and outbound mail operations, including EMS, has been restored. Repair work continues and Jamaica Post hopes to fully restore postal operations by April 18th. | | Japan | April 7, 2011 | A 7.4 magnitude earthquake struck off the coast of the Miyagi prefecture in northeastern Japan at approximately 11:30pm today.
